Course Contents

Different research methodologies and how they fit in different academic fields. Specific methodologies for computer science and systems. Academic integrity and rectitude. Ethical considerations, both during research and in applying the results. Innovation processes and exploitation of research results.

Course Literature

A collection of articles is used instead of a course book.

Instruction Details

Types of instruction: Seminars, miscellaneous. The course is given in the form of three full day seminars with pre- and post-meeting assignments. Before each meeting the PhD student shall read a number of papers and answer questions, and after each meeting a short essay should be written and peer reviewed.

Examination formats: Written report, written assignments, miscellaneous. Active participation at seminars
Grading scale: Failed, pass
