The purpose of the course is to provide a deep understanding of the subject digital communications. Wireless communications is an area that has seen a rapid growth during the recent past. This is reflected well in the department’s research which is dominated by various aspects of wireless communications and span across many different sub-areas. A few examples are circuit design, pure theoretical research, antenna design and network solutions. Nevertheless, the scientific basis of wireless communications is digital communications. A solid basis and skills in this subject is of major importance for a large fraction of the department’s doctoral students.
