Aim
  • The course is a continuation of "Convex Optimization" where the acquired knowledge is applied to a larger project.
Contents
  • Projects could range from numerical experiments to purely mathematical projects. There are three mandatory parts:
    Project description, Project report,
    Project presentation

  • For a passing grade the doctoral student must
  • should understand how use acquired knowledge from the course Convex Optimization can be used to solve a smaller research project
Competences and Skills
  • For a passing grade the doctoral student must
  • formulate an interesting project suggestion, perform a study using knowledge in convex optimization, and present the result for colleagues
Judgement and Approach
  • For a passing grade the doctoral student must
  • show ability for creative, independent work
