Aim
  • To learn to design och implement cloud services and understand and formulate relevant research challenges.
Contents
  • The course will contain both practical sessions around common cloud frameworks and tools, as well as the theoretical underpinnings.
Knowledge and Understanding
  • For a passing grade the doctoral student must
  • Understanding of the fundamental principals of cloud computing.
    Insight into the theoretical challenges of distributed computing in a cloud setting.
Competences and Skills
  • For a passing grade the doctoral student must
  • Manage Infrastructure-as-a-Service and design and implementation robots and scalable cloud applications.
    Ability to design and implement data intensive cloud applications on standard platforms.
Judgement and Approach
  • For a passing grade the doctoral student must
  • Show insight in the trade-offs in choice of tools, algorithms, and architecture.
