Current Established Course Syllabus

  • English
  • If sufficient demand
  • The basis of many biological processes is written down in the genetic code that is translated into biomolecules that cooperate to create, and various biochemical processes and ultimately life forms. As part of this course molecular genetic processes and biomolecular structure and interactions are studied and discussedin order to enabling detailed studies of life processes and related biotechnological and molecular genetic applications.
Knowledge and Understanding
  • For a passing grade the doctoral student must
  • * be able to describe and discuss in depth the components of proteins and genes, as well as systems composed of those
*• be able to describe and discuss in depth processes in which genes and / or proteins interact
Competences and Skills
  • For a passing grade the doctoral student must
  • * be able to reflect in depth upon genetic and protein-based processes and be able to explain experimental observations of such processes
Judgement and Approach
  • For a passing grade the doctoral student must
  • * demonstrate a willingness to adequately present, question and debate scientific knowledge and theories in the field of molecular biology
Types of Instruction
  • Self-study literature review
