Aim
  • Immunological processes are important components of heath and disease. Products of immunological processes are often used for medical analysis. A fundamental understanding of such processes is therefore of critical importance for the development and application of new approaches in this field. In this course, immunological processes in eukaryotic organisms are studied and discussed to create a basis for research activities around such processes.

Knowledge and Understanding
  • For a passing grade the doctoral student must
  • be able to describe and explain complex immunological processes
    be able to describe and explain appropriate technologies for a diversity of advanced immunological studies
Competences and Skills
  • For a passing grade the doctoral student must
  • interpret, depict and discuss complex biological observations in terms of immunology
    be able to argue for and against selection of different approaches to investigate immunological problems
    create hypotheses relevant for investigations of new problems in immunology
