An additional aim of the course is to provide the participants with a foundation for further professional development as a teacher in higher education. Innehåll The student in higher education, learning, forms of teaching, communication and feedback, examination, evaluation, the university lecturer and teaching qualifications. Kunskap och förståelse För godkänd kurs skall doktoranden be able to explain fundamental concepts of teaching and learning in higher education be able describe how learning is supported in higher education demonstrate knowledge of core values and regulations within Swedish higher education. Färdighet och förmåga För godkänd kurs skall doktoranden be able to reflect on common aspects of education (such as forms of teaching, examination, evaluation, teaching qualifications etc.) on the basis of reading and experience be able to analyse, discuss and develop teaching in their own subjects with the support of theories and collegial discussions. Värderingsförmåga och förhållningssätt För godkänd kurs skall doktoranden demonstrate willingness to engage in collegial discussions on teaching demonstrate openness towards alternative forms of teaching. Undervisningsformer Föreläsningar Projekt Kommentarer:The course starts with a week of five full days in which lectures are combined with group exercises and individual work. This is followed by a group project, which is to be reported 3–5 weeks later (the total workload of the project work is about a week per participant), and an individual reflection assignment. Examinationsformer Skriftlig rapport Inlämningsuppgifter Kommentarer:For a Pass on the course, the participant must have attended at least 80 % of the scheduled activities, completed assignments during the scheduled activities, passed the project work and the individual reflection assignment, including attendance at the feedback and reporting sessions. Betygsskala:Underkänd, godkänd Förkunskapskrav To be admitted to the course, participants must normally have a first-cycle degree. Förutsatta förkunskaper Urvalskriterier The applicants with the earliest admittance dates to the PhD studies are given priority. All doctoral students must be offered at least two weeks of education in teaching and learning in higher education, in accordance with the decision of the Board of Lund University, reg. no Dnr LS 2010/771.
