The aim of this course is to give an overview of contemporary research in architecture and urbanity. The course is given approximately every second year and each time the course may have a different theme, such as materiality, temporality or artistic/practicebased research.

The course introduces different discourses and basic concepts related to the course theme and discussing in the context of architectural and urban research. The course consists of literature studies, workshops, lectures and seminars within the theme stated. Participants are expected to deliver a research statement as related to the theme and a short paper.
