Aim

This course builds on the course “Introduction to Studies in Large Technical Systems and Science Technology and Society” (FMI015F). The aim of the course is that the students shall be confident in designing and conducting a smaller Science Technology and Society (STS)/ Large Technical Systems (LTS) study in their own field of research. Course participants will have the opportunity to reflect upon what insights different STS/LTS methods and theories can provide, by conducting a smaller study.

Course Contents

The course builds on FMI015F and mainly consists of designing, conducting and communicating a smaller STS/LTS study that is in line with the students own research interests. Students write a shorter course paper that is presented and discussed at a seminar. Students shall also discuss other students’ course papers. Opportunities for supervision and discussion with course teachers will be offered throughout the course.
