Aim

The course is a continuation of "Convex Optimization" where the acquired knowledge is applied to a larger project.

Goals

Knowledge and Understanding

For a passing grade the doctoral student must should understand how use acquired knowledge from the course Convex Optimization can be used to solve a smaller research project

Competences and Skills

For a passing grade the doctoral student must formulate an interesting project suggestion, perform a study using knowledge in convex optimization, and present the result for colleagues

Judgement and Approach

For a passing grade the doctoral student must show ability for creative, independent work

Course Contents

Projects could range from numerical experiments to purely mathematical projects. There are three mandatory parts: Project description, Project report, Project presentation
