The purpose of the course is to provide participants with practical experience and theoretical knowledge of flow cytometric analysis of microbial cell populations through wet and dry lab exercises.

The course consists of compulsory lectures, seminars, workshops, oral or written exercises, and wet experimental and dry projects carried out in groups of 1-4 people.
Course literature is stated before course start.
Types of instruction: Lectures, laboratory exercises, exercises, project, self-study literature review
Examination formats: Written assignments, seminars given by participants.
Possible grades are Pass and Fail. To pass the course, the student must have (1) >95% attendance to all lectures and practical exercises, (2) handed in written reports and (3) made an oral presentation summarizing the literature study.
